The Ski Fields included in our Winter Packages include:

➡️  NZSki operated fields - Coronet Peak and The Remarkables - are not currently included.  These products must be booked direct with NZSki

Great question - let's try and break it down for you!  There are a few options available for you to consider based on your needs:

➡️  When you ski in Queenstown, you can rent equipment up at the ski fields or down town

➡️  There are some products with Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone Resort via our activities booking portal that do include rentals

➡️  We highly recommend to book your rentals downtown with our rentals partner QUEST - whilst their products are not available with our Winter Packages, our guests receive exclusive discounted pricing anyway when they book their QUEST rentals with us

➡️  We recommend to secure your rentals downtown instead of at the ski fields because:

• • Pricing downtown is cheaper than renting on the ski fields
  • You can store equipment with us, allowing you to use your equipment on any ski field for convenience
  • If you rent at the ski field, you'll need to sort your gear each morning, wasting valuable snow time
  • If you rent downtown you can organise your equipment the night before, meaning you're ready to go in the morning
  • You can rent for multiple days without needing to return the equipment

➡️  We recommend to book your rental equipment with us when you arrive.  We can book your equipment at our special discounted rates with QUEST once you're sure of your itinerary

Absolootly!  Queenstown is a very busy Winter destination, and availability can fill up fast.  Make sure to get your reservations in advance to confirm availability and pricing, as rates can increase closer to the season.

No you don't!  You don't have to use the promo code straight away, you can take your time to consider your plans and preferences and book your South Island experiences through our activities portal at any stage after you've booked your Winter Package with us.

However we would recommend to consider booking your experiences in advance of your stay - Queenstown can be very busy over Winter, and you might find availability for your preferred experiences can fill up.

Yes they are!  The only minimum requirement is that you need to stay for 5+ nights.  You can choose how long you wish to stay for - provided it's 5 nights more - the room type/s you want, and the types of experiences you want from our activities portal.

There are specific Terms & Conditions for Winter Package reservations that are different and in addition to our standard Terms & Conditons.  Please make yourself aware of these in the section below on this page.

Excellent question!  While there's no simply answer to this, we have done our best to help you understand every ski field in the whole South Island with our most comprehensive and up-to-date guide to date - read it here

There are multiple ways to get to the ski-fields, and it really depends on your travel plans and travel buddies! 

We've done our best to break down the different options, and why you might choose one over the other with a comprehensive transport guide to Queensotwn and the region - read it here.

There are no transport options currently included in the activities portal or as part of our Winter Packages, but we can still help you with transport options to Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone Resort.

➡️  To receive the benefits associated with our Winter Packages, you must book on our Winter Packages Portal.  Bookings via third parties, over the phone, via email or in person will not receive a promo code.

➡️  Your accomodation booking and activity booking made with your promo code must be in the same guest name.  Any activity bookings made in the names of people not staying in your booking will be cancelled.  You must not pass your promo code to other people that are not part of your booking.

➡️  Bookings must be for 5 nights or more.  Bookings must be made between the 13th of June 2026 and the 11th of October 2026 (inclusive) to be eligible for Winter Package.

➡️  As per our standard Terms & Conditions, if you have children under the age of 18, the room needs to be booked out in full – under 18’s cannot be occupied in shared rooms with other guests, and if you attempt to do so our normal conditions of stay will apply.

➡️  Rentals from Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone include skis + boots + poles or snowboard + boots only.

➡️  Rentals from QUEST Rentals can be specifically itemised, or be packages of equipment.  Please get in touch once you've made your reservation to find out pricing or create a reservation. *

*pricing and reservations are only available once QUEST Rentals has released availability for the current Winter period - QUEST rentals are booked direct at special pricing applicable to Absoloot Hostel QT.  No promo code can be utilised to decrease the price further.

➡️  Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone Resort consider the child age-group to include 2-17yr old

➡️  General Cancellation Policy (including No-Shows):

• • Guests that have utilised the promo code to make a booking are not eligible for cancellation.
  • To receive a free cancellation, you must cancel 7 days prior to arrival date AND must not have used your promo code to book any activities.
  • If you cancel within 7 days of arrival, or use the promo code given to you in your confirmation, you will not be eligible for a free cancellation and the credit card information supplied during your reservation confirmation will be charged in full (a third part transaction fee of 3.5% of the total amount will apply)
  • If you are a no-show you will be charged in full to the credit card information supplied during your reservation confirmation (a third part transaction fee of 3.5% of the total amount will apply).

➡️  Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone Resort products are non-refundable for any reason once within their non-cancellation period - this includes injuries sustained before or during your package period, illness, bereavement, emergencies or otherwise.  Please make yourself aware of all Terms & Conditions specific to each resort by reviewing the Cardrona Alpine Resort website and Treble Cone website - all activity bookings are subject to the operators' Terms & Conditions, and it is up to participants to make themselves aware of any Terms & Conditions + Health & Safety information available and provided by the operators.
