PACKAGE T'S AND C'S

 T’s and C’s for our packages are as follows…

– We require a 50% deposit when we confirm your reservation for you – you can pay this via credit card, bank transfer, eftpos or cash. Please be aware that a 2.5% surcharge applies to the credit card option. Bank transfers will be subject to any transfer fees that may apply. The remaining 50% will be payable on arrival, and can be remitted by credit card (+2.5% surcharge), NZ eftpos, or cash.

– Family Room’s are standard as 2 adults and 2 kids, but you can include a 3rd child for only the on-mountain cost – there are NO extra accommodation costs if you have 2 adults and 3 kids!

– As per our normal Terms and Conditions, if you have children under the age of 18, any room needs to be booked out in full – under 18’s cannot be occupied in shared rooms with other guests, and if you attempt to do so our normal T’s and C’s will apply.

– Transport pricing is only from Queenstown, and only includes Cardrona Alpine Resort.  If you need transport to Treble Cone, this can be arranged – please get in touch, we are currently waiting for pricing to be released.

– First Timer Packages are only available at Cardrona Alpine Resort.

– Transport is only available return from Queenstown to Cardrona Alpine Resort

– Lessons are only available at Cardrona Alpine Resort.

– Rentals include skis + boots + poles or snowboard + boots only.  Prices are indicative for 2 or 3 days as shown – if you need more or less than the amounts displayed, please let us know as different pricing applies.

– Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone Resort consider the child age-group to include 2-17yr olds.

– Clothing + accessories include Jacket, Pants, Goggles, Helmet, Gloves and Wrist Guards.  Prices are indicative for 2 or 3 day packages as shown – If you need only parts of this bundle, or need less or more than 2 or 3 days, please let us know as different pricing applies.

– Extra day passes cannot be added onto First Timer Packages at the shown price point in the Add-on’s section.  If you would like to add an extra day pass to a First Timer Package, please get in touch for pricing.

– First Timer Package includes:

  • 1st day – learners area access, 2 x group lessons, equipment
  • 2nd day – full lift access, 1 x group lesson, equipment
  • 3rd day – full lift access, 1 x group lesson, equipment

– COVID-related travel restriction policy:

  • If COVID related travel restrictions impose on your ability to travel, please get in touch as soon as possible.  If travel restrictions are imposed within the cancellation periods shown below – and you get in touch with us within 24hrs of travel restrictions publicly notified – we will not impose the penalties displayed below
  • 7 days prior to arrival date: refunded in full
  • within 7 days prior to arrival and prior to 48hrs of arrival: 50% refund of deposit
  • within 48hrs of arrival: no refund of deposit
  • Reservations can be relocated within the current 2022 season Free Of Charge (FOC) pending availability at any time, however if you relocate your reservation to a different period and then wish to cancel for reasons other than legitimate travel disruption due specifically to COVID, you will not receive a refund, and will be charged in full if you cancel within 7 days of your arrival to the credit card information supplied during your reservation confirmation (2.5% surcharge applies)

– General Cancellation Policy (including No-Shows):

  • To receive a full refund of deposit paid you must cancel 28 days prior to arrival date
  • To receive a 50% refund of deposit amount paid, you must cancel more than 7 days prior to your arrival date
  • If you cancel within 7 days of arrival you will receive no refund of deposit and the remaining reservation amount owed will be charged in full to the credit card information supplied during your reservation confirmation (2.5% surcharge applies)
  • If you are a no-show you will be charged in full to the credit card information supplied during your reservation confirmation (2.5% surcharge applies)
  • Cardrona, Treble Cone and Absoloot Hostel QT products are non-refundable for any reason once within the cancellation period – this includes injuries sustained before or during your package period, illness, bereavement, emergencies or otherwise

 

PACKAGE FAQ'S

Can I add days onto the displayed packages for the number of nights or number of days on the mountains?

Absoloot-ly you can! Please get in touch when you’re looking to make a reservation and we can provide you with pricing for the extra days you require.

Can I take off days on the displayed packages for the number of nights or days on the mountains?

Unfortunately no – the pricing shown is special for the nights’ provided/days up the hill. But please get in touch if you have alternative requirements, as we are here to help! No matter what, we can guarantee you’ll get the best price available when you book direct for your accommodation and mountain needs.

Why is the child price so different to an ‘extra child’ in the Family Room?

This is because our family rooms are standard as a 4-person occupancy (2 adults and 2 children), but we allow you to occupy up to 2 adults and 3 children, and you get the 3rd child free in terms of accommodation costs! The only cost you pay in terms of packages is the lift pass price required.

Why are there 2 different price-points for some private rooms (Queen, Double, Twin)?

This is because in these room types you can book them with the intention of having 2 people stay in the room, or you can book them as single occupancy.  The price of the room is the same in both instances, however if you have 2 people booking a package then you’ll be able to split the room cost if you like, but both parties will also need mountain day passes.

How can I book my package?

When do I need to pay?

What happens if COVID disrupts my travel plans and I’ve booked a package?

If COVID related travel restrictions cause your flights to be disrupted to the point that you cannot come for your reservation – and you get in touch with us within 24hrs of the restrictions being publicly notified – we will refund you in full, or relocate your reservation within the current season free of charge* (*pending availability).

If COVID related travel restrictions cause your flights to be disrupted to the point that you cannot come for your reservation – and you get in touch with us more than 7 days prior to your arrival date – we will refund you in full, or relocate your reservation within the current season free of charge* (*pending availability).

If you get in touch with us within 7 days prior to your arrival date – but prior to 48hrs from your arrival date – we can only refund 50% of the deposit amount.  This is due to commission we will still be required to remit for Cardrona and Treble Cone products.  We can still relocate your reservation within the current season free of charge* (*pending availability).

If you get in touch with us within 48hrs prior to your arrival date, we cannot process a refund.  However we can still relocate your reservation within the current season free of charge* (*pending availability).

Please note – this cancellation policy only applies if travel restrictions implicitly prevent your travel.  Simply deciding not to travel because of uncertainty or similar does not apply.

Please note – if a refund is required and you have paid by bank transfer, Absoloot Hostel will not be liable to pay for any transfer fees related to refunds.

What if COVID related travel restrictions disrupt my travel plans, and instead of cancelling I want to change my booking date?

Please just get in touch with us prior to your arrival date and we will relocate your reservation within the current season free of charge* (*pending availability).  This does not however allow you to invoke the general cancellation policy by shifting your reservation to a different time period.  If you wish to cancel for reasons other than COVID-related travel restrictions after your FOC movement, you will not receive a refund, and depending on the timing you may be charged in full.

What if I get COVID and that prevents me from travelling?

Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for illness or injury preventing you from travelling.  If you get COVID or something else prevents you from attending your reservation – other than COVID-specific travel restrictions imposed by national governments – our normal cancellation/no-show policies will apply.  As always, we highly recommend travel insurance at all times to cover the risk/costs associated with travelling.

What is the general cancellation policy for packages (including no-shows)?

For our packages, the general cancellation policy is as follows:

– Cancellations made prior to 28 days from arrival date: 50% refund of deposit

– Cancellations made within 28 days from arrival date: no refund

– Cancellations made within 7 days from arrival date – no refund and package charged in full to the credit card supplied for reservation confirmation (2.5% surcharge applies).

– No shows will be charged for their package in full to the credit card details supplied for reservation confirmation (2.5% surcharge applies).

This cancellation policy applies for any cancellations made outside of legitimate COVID-related travel restrictions.

Please note – if you relocate your reservation due to COVID restrictions – and then wish to cancel for reasons unrelated to legitimate COVID-related travel restrictions, our general cancellation policies above will apply.

Please note – if a refund is required and you have paid by bank transfer, Absoloot Hostel QT will not be liable to pay for any transfer fees related to refunds.
